Itinerary

Sept 26: Romantic Eiffel tower

 

We land in Paris, and start our adventure by exploring some of the city's best attractions. Begin with a visit to the Sacré-Cœur Basilica in Montmartre, where you can admire the breathtaking panoramic view of Paris from the highest point in the city. Wander through the charming streets of Montmartre, soaking in its artistic vibe, and stop by the Place du Tertre, where street artists display their talent

Next, head to the Champs-Élysées, one of the most famous avenues in the world. Stroll down this iconic boulevard, window-shop at luxury stores, and make your way to the Arc de Triomphe, where you can admire the monument and take stunning photos. For a relaxing break, visit the Tuileries Garden, a beautiful green space where you can sit and enjoy the Parisian atmosphere. Nearby, explore the stunning Cour Napoléon of the Louvre Museum, where you can see the glass pyramid and take iconic photos.

As evening falls, we walk along the Seine River, admiring landmarks like Pont Alexandre III, Notre-Dame Cathedral, and Île de la Cité. Make your way to the Trocadéro Gardens, the perfect spot to witness the Eiffel Tower in all its glory. As the clock strikes the hour, watch as the tower twinkles with golden lights, a magical sight that will leave you speechless. End your day with a peaceful night walk along the Seine, taking in the beauty of Paris by night, before calling it a day in the City of Lights.

Sept 27: Reach Brussels, Belgium

We take a bus and reach Brussels, the capital of Belgium. Start your day in Brussels, the heart of Belgium, at the Grand Place, one of the most stunning squares in Europe. Marvel at the intricate architecture of the Town Hall and the Guildhouses, and soak in the lively atmosphere. From here, take a short walk to see the quirky yet famous Manneken Pis, the city’s iconic statue of a little boy peeing, which has an amusing collection of outfits throughout the year.

Next, make your way to the Royal Gallery of Saint Hubert, a stunning glass-roofed arcade filled with charming cafés and chocolate shops—perfect for indulging in some of Belgium’s world-famous chocolates. Then, head towards the Mont des Arts, a scenic spot that offers a panoramic view of the city’s rooftops and gardens, making it an ideal stop for photos.

In the afternoon, visit the Royal Palace of Brussels, the official palace of the Belgian monarchy. While you can’t enter, its grand façade and surrounding gardens make it a worthwhile stop. For a cultural experience, explore the Parc de Bruxelles, a beautiful green space perfect for a relaxing stroll.

Later, hop on a tram or take a short metro ride to the Atomium, one of Brussels’ most iconic landmarks. This futuristic structure, originally built for the 1958 World Expo, offers an incredible view of the city from the top. Before ending your day, make sure to try Belgian waffles, fries, and a local beer to complete your Brussels experience. If time permits, wander through the European Quarter, where you can see the headquarters of the European Union, showcasing Brussels' role as the political hub of Europe.

End your day with a leisurely evening walk back to Grand Place, where the buildings are beautifully illuminated at night, giving a magical touch to this incredible city.

Sept 28: Explore Ghent

Just a short train ride from Brussels, the vibrant city of Ghent is a perfect blend of medieval charm and modern energy. Begin your day at Gravensteen Castle, a stunning medieval fortress that offers a glimpse into Belgium’s history, complete with dungeons, towers, and panoramic city views from the top. From here, stroll through the picturesque streets toward St. Bavo’s Cathedral, home to the world-famous Adoration of the Mystic Lamb, a masterpiece of early Netherlandish painting.

Next, make your way to Korenmarkt, the heart of Ghent, where you can soak in the lively atmosphere and admire the beautiful architecture surrounding the square. Grab a traditional Belgian waffle or a coffee before heading to the iconic Ghent Belfry, a UNESCO-listed bell tower that provides breathtaking views of the city. As you wander through Graslei and Korenlei, two historic quays along the river, admire the elegant guild houses and take in the charming waterfront scenery.

Afterward, explore the Patershol district, a quaint neighborhood filled with cozy cafes and hidden alleyways, perfect for a relaxing afternoon stroll. If time allows, stop by Vrijdagmarkt, a historic square that has been a marketplace for centuries and is now home to bustling cafes and shops.

As the day winds down, grab a bite of Gentse Waterzooi, a traditional Flemish stew, before catching your train back to Brussels, reminiscing about the medieval beauty and lively energy of Ghent.

Sept 29: Reach Amsterdam

We reach Amsterdam, check in, freshen up and head to explore Dam Square, the lively heart of the city, home to the Royal Palace of Amsterdam and the stunning Nieuwe Kerk. Stroll along the iconic Canals of Amsterdam, taking in the charming 17th-century houses and bridges. Make a stop at the Anne Frank House, a must-visit for history lovers, to learn about Anne’s life and her famous diary. If time allows, explore the Jordaan district, filled with boutique shops, cozy cafes, and local markets.

Afterward, take a scenic canal cruise, offering a unique perspective of the city’s historic architecture and picturesque waterways.

As the sun sets, we dive into Amsterdam’s legendary nightlife. Head to Leidseplein or Rembrandtplein, two bustling squares lined with bars, clubs, and live music venues. We then, take a walk through the Red Light District, one of Amsterdam’s most famous and controversial areas. Beyond its neon-lit windows, you’ll find quirky museums, buzzing bars, and a lively atmosphere unlike anywhere else.

Sept 30: Explore Zanche Schans

Today we explore, Zaanse Schans is a charming Dutch village that feels like stepping back in time. Known for its iconic windmills, traditional wooden houses, and artisan workshops, it offers a glimpse into the Netherlands’ rich history and culture.

As you arrive, you’ll be greeted by picturesque windmills, some dating back to the 18th century. Many of them are still operational, and you can visit places like De Kat, a working paint mill, or Het Jonge Schaap, a sawmill showcasing traditional Dutch engineering.

Wander through the open-air museum, where you can see authentic wooden cottages, charming bridges, and lush green fields along the Zaan River. Visit the Clog Workshop, where artisans demonstrate how traditional Dutch wooden shoes are made, and even try on a pair for fun photos. Next, stop by the cheese farm, where you can sample and buy freshly made Gouda and Edam cheeses—a true delight for cheese lovers!

For a bit of adventure, rent a bike and explore the nearby countryside, passing by historic farmhouses and tulip fields (if visiting in spring). Alternatively, take a boat ride on the Zaan River, offering a unique perspective of the village and its windmills.

Before heading back to Amsterdam, grab a meal at a local café, trying Dutch pancakes (pannenkoeken) or stroopwafels for a sweet treat. As you return, you’ll carry with you the sights, scents, and flavors of traditional Dutch life, making your visit to Zaanse Schans a truly unforgettable experience.
